Blacklight illuminates suspicious scene

A caller on Treeline Road reportedly found a blacklight after arriving at an apartment that was expected to be empty. Using the blacklight, the callers could see spots on the wall and on the carpet that they believed to be blood. They requested that officers with Kalispell Police Department walk through the apartment to make sure it was safe.

A woman’s car was reportedly “messed up” when the front end was “smashed down” into a patch of asphalt that had caved in.

A manager at a local business on Highway 93 North reported that a male transient had been harassing employees. The man reportedly appeared intoxicated, and an employee allegedly saw an open container in a cart that the man was pushing.

An intoxicated man was allegedly passed out near a local gas station. The woman who reported the incident asked that he be removed from the location.

A caller reported that a dog down the street on Sherry Lane was allegedly left out in the cold “all the time.” The dog reportedly had no shelter and was tied up. The caller reported that the dog looked “forlorn.” Officers were unable to locate the dog.

A caller reported that a man nearly hit the caller while driving on a roundabout. The man allegedly got out of his car and yelled at the caller while in the roundabout. The man then allegedly tried to hit the caller.

A boy called to report that a neighbor had thrown eggs at his sister and another girl he was babysitting. The boy’s mother asked that law enforcement speak with the neighboring boy’s parents.

Columbia Falls Police Department received a report that someone had tried to break into the caller’s vehicle on A Street EN. The rear driver-side window was allegedly broken, but nothing was reported missing.

A caller reported that it sounded like someone was trying to get into a shed on Second Avenue WN for approximately 30 minutes.

A caller from a business on Central Avenue told Whitefish Police Department that a transient was sleeping in the bathroom. The caller stated that this was an ongoing issue.

A caller on Kalispell Avenue reported that a man was harassing people who were trying to park in front of his house. The caller was trying to find parking for a wrestling meet. The man yelled at anyone who tried to park in front of his house.
