Man wants bullet for a souvenir

A man who was accidentally shot over the weekend called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to ask if he could have the bullet back so he could mount it.

A mailbox was allegedly “blown up” on Stillwater Road in Kalispell.

Four horses were seen running down Scenic Ridge Road.

A box full of needles was found near Helena Flats. Authorities picked up and destroyed the needles.

About a dozen pigs escaped through a broken fence and made a break down U.S. 2.

A duffle bag full of power tools was found in a resident’s yard. Authorities retrieved the items.

Two trucks were allegedly seen speeding up and down Creston Road going about 100 mph with their lights off.

Thumping sounds caused a woman to call police for fear that someone was inside her house. Upon further investigation, the woman found it was her dog jumping around making the noise and declined assistance.

A woman reported hearing a tapping noise in her home every 10 minutes. The noise turned out to be the rain.

The driver of a vehicle ran off the road and got stuck after attempting to pass a road grader. The driver allegedly got out of the vehicle and stood in front of the grader, yelling at the driver and trying to get the grader’s plates.

Someone reported hearing six shots fired in the White Birch Lane area.

A border collie puppy was found on Old Reserve Drive. The puppy was taken to the county shelter.

Several large rocks were reported on U.S. 93 South.

A small dog was found in a hotel after its assumed owners were trespassed from the property. Kalispell Police officers took the dog to the county shelter.

An altercation was reported between a process server and a resident when the server attempted to serve papers to someone who allegedly no longer lived at the residence. The server reportedly demanded personal information from the resident and made “inappropriate comments” about the resident’s wife. The server claimed he was “just trying to do his job.”

A resident of Third Avenue East recovered a gun case that allegedly fell of a house’s roof after sitting there since the fall. Officers collected the case.

A male allegedly claimed he was robbed and his vehicle was stolen before boarding a bus in Whitefish. According to the Whitefish Police report, the man was dropped off at his home and said he would return with money to pay for the ride, but allegedly never came back out.
