Dog gang ruffs up neighborhood

Two golden retrievers were reportedly running around “stirring up trouble” on Fourth Avenue East. The person reporting the dogs told Kalispell Police they were “trying to get other dogs to join their gang.” The caller was reportedly unable to apprehend the “suspects.”

Two bikes were reported stolen from a garage on Fourth Avenue West.

A man was reportedly “acting weird” and making staff nervous by approaching people and attempting to get a ride at a business on U.S. 93 South.

Someone observed a storage unit that appeared to have been broken into and was housing a man, woman and child. Authorities found the unit had been pried open and discovered several personal items inside, including an air mattress and mail.

While flipping through radio stations, a woman claimed she heard someone threaten former President Barack Obama’s life over the radio. The woman did not know which station it occurred on.

A breast pump valued at $300 was reported stolen on First Avenue West.

A man allegedly entered a store and threatened an off-duty employee saying, “he would come in to speak to the new employee with a gun and make him dance.” The employee claimed not to know the man.

While house sitting, a woman said a mountain lion was outside in the trash and scratching on the door. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were requested to help escort the woman from the property.

Someone allegedly kicked down the door of a rental property on Webster Lane in Whitefish.

A brindle pit bull was reported for jumping on children and growling at adults. The dog, found on Learn Lane in Kalispell, was transported to the local animal shelter.

A pair of cyclists used bear spray to fend off a white dog they claim charged at them.

A golden retriever was reportedly spotted on Lost Creek Drive in Kalispell. Authorities were unable to locate the dog.

Two dogs allegedly escaped their electric fence and charged children in the neighboring yard. The children were not injured.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous report of a dog that had been barking for the past 10 years.

An older shepherd/heeler mix was seen running at large on Parmenter Creek Road. Authorities were unable to catch the dog.
