Hit gas line causes mall evacuation

After a construction crew hit a gas line at the mall, officers were forced to block off West Montana Avenue and Fourth Avenue traffic and evacuate the building while the leak was repaired, according to the Kalispell Police Department.

The battery from a water truck was reported stolen on West Railroad Street.

Two people and a dog were seen inside a tennis court that was believed to be locked.

A motorcycle was reportedly stolen from Windriver Drive.

A large white male husky was found near South Meadows Drive and taken to the county shelter.

A push mower was reported stolen from North Main Street. Its owner told police he believed he saw it at a pawn shop.

A woman allegedly broke into a home where three children were home alone.

Two men wearing all black and black masks were allegedly seen getting out of a black truck in the Buffett Drive area. They were last seen walking behind a townhouse.

Someone reported a man for standing under a light pole swaying back and forth. Authorities determined the man was waiting for a ride.

A husky mix was found near West Wyoming Street, dragging a leash behind it. The dog was impounded at the county shelter.

Skis, climbing skins and poles were reportedly stolen while their owner was kayaking at Wayfarers.

The headless body of a cat was found in a snow bank on Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies disposed of the corpse at a green box site.

An electric scooter was found behind the dumpster of a gas station on Woodland Park Drive. The scooter was taken to the county barn.

A naked man allegedly knocked on a woman’s window near Sage Lane requesting to be let in.

Pornographic images of a naked woman were reportedly seen on a truck with the name “Frump Truck” painted on it. The truck was last seen headed north on U.S. 2.

A couple was allegedly cooking and using meth in their trailer on Blanchard Lake Road with their two children present.

A woman reported the title to her car stolen. Authorities informed her that it was a civil issue and that calling six times in three days was “a touch excessive.”

A 12-year-old was allegedly bitten on the leg by a dog at large near Conrad Drive. The dog was taken to the local shelter for observation.

Someone reported a border collie chasing and biting at his horses, causing one of them to go down. He informed police that if he catches the dog near his horses again, he would shoot it.

A man told Whitefish Police he was assaulted on Baker Avenue by a woman who allegedly spat in his face and punched him with a beer in her hand.
