Mary Lou Grigg, 67

Mary Lou Grigg, 67, a longtime resident of Columbia Falls, passed away on March 16, 2017.

Mary Lou was born to George Walton and Marjorie Friske on June 10, 1949, in the Half Moon area of Columbia Falls. After attending grade school and high school in Columbia Falls, Mary Lou held a variety of jobs before attending cosmetology school and opening her own business.

Mary Lou was married to Floyd Grigg on Dec. 31, 1966, in Columbia Falls. They were married for 39 years. They raised two children together, Tara and Mike.

Mary Lou enjoyed crafting, growing amazing flowers and decorating her home. She enjoyed discovering new hobbies from ceramics to stained glass to painting. She thrived most spending time with her family and was a devoted mother and wife. One of her great joys was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved to play, bake and garden with. She was known for being a great and loyal friend. She had the ability to bring a smile to everyone who knew her. She had a kind and gentle heart and could always be counted on to help those around her in need.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, George Walton and Marjorie Friske; and her husband in heart, Floyd Grigg.

She leaves behind her son, Michael Grigg, his wife Kim, and children Abbey and Ty; her daughter, Tara Harvey, her husband Russ, and children McKenna and Justin; sister, Marjorie (Babe) Walton; sister-in-law, Geraldine Gimbel; and brothers-in-law, Don Gimbel and Melvin Grigg.

There will be a service for Mary Lou at noon on March 31 at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
