Black calf on the moove in Kalispell

A black calf was reportedly running loose in the U.S. 93 South and Willow Glen Drive area, according to the Kalispell Police Department. The owner was located, and eventually the young animal corralled back into its pen.

A Blue Crest Drive resident called police about a kid outside nearby “acting shady.” The teen was allegedly changing plates on a vehicle and acting “very suspicious.” Officers spoke with the suspect, and discovered that he was (legally) removing old plates and replacing them with the newly issued ones.

A concerned caller told police there was a “creepy guy” at Lawrence Park allegedly video recording children. Officers spoke with the man, who was just a normal father who was watching his child on the playground. Officers determined that nothing criminal had occurred.

A Ninth Avenue West resident called police to get information about the city ordinances for animals, because there were goats in the neighborhood that allegedly “will not shut up.”

A fight involving six or seven kids allegedly occurred in front of a North Main Street business. The group of yelling and screaming individuals apparently took the issues across the street, first to a hotel and then to a shopping mall. Officers had a talk with the rowdy group. No one wanted to press charges.

A Windward Loop resident reported her vehicle had been broken into and money stolen. She said the vehicle had been in her garage overnight, when the alleged theft occurred.

A Second Avenue East resident allegedly witnessed two men stealing items out of vehicles, and one was riding a possibly stolen bicycle. Officers questioned one suspect, but found no evidence of crimes.

A Northern Lights Boulevard resident reported that items had been stolen from his home, including two guns and prescription medications.

Some mechanic’s tools, a skill saw, a nail gun, a radio and various other items were reported stolen from Sixth Avenue East.

An employee of a West Idaho Street business called for police help to remove a sleeping patron. Officers moved the man along.

An employee of a Central Avenue business called the Whitefish Police Department about a possibly homeless person sleeping near the back of the building. Officers moved the person along.

Someone reported a group of transients for trespassing in an abandoned Wisconsin Avenue building.

A Baker Avenue resident complained of transients in the area who kept returning and allegedly defecating in the yard.

A passer-by on Central Avenue reported being confronted multiple times by the same transients while walking downtown.

An 11th Street West resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department about someone “skulking around” outside a neighbor’s house. Officers were unable to locate anyone or anything suspicious.

Some juveniles were reportedly playing on the train tracks near Veterans Drive. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.

The Bigfork Fire Department responded to reports of a motor vehicle fire on Swan River Road.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn on Springhill Road.
