Margaret C. Pontius, 103, of Bigfork, passed away May 14, 2017, in Bigfork.

Maggie was born April 5, 1914, in Pasadena, California, to Sherman Cole and Edith Cole. 

Maggie had a great influence on those around her, helping to start the Bigfork library and the Bigfork Senior Center. She was also a member of the Ferndale Sewing Circle.

Maggie is survived by daughter, Luella Dixon (Jerome), of Bigfork; grandchildren, Don Dixon (Barbara) of Maryland, Joanne Dixon of Bigfork, Sharon (Chris) Halasz of California and Christina Wiltfong of Bigfork; great-grandchildren, Diane Dixon of Germany, Mandi Johnson of Bigfork, Karest Nash of Florida, Kayla (Ladd) McMahon of Dayton, Cody Nash of Minnesota, Johnathan Michaelson of Bigfork and Joshua Wiltfong of Bigfork; and great- great- grandchildren, Troy Dixon, Remi McMahon, Lincoln McMahon, Titan McMahon and Halle McMahon.

There will be a service held for Maggie at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Swan Chapel in Swan Lake. Chuck Cushman and Ron Peirce will officiate.
