Police try to 'ketchup' with vandals

A group of kids allegedly vandalized a man’s vehicle — while he was inside — by putting ketchup all over it and driving away, according to a Kalispell Police report.

A former maintenance man for a property on Second Avenue West was reported for stalking a female tenant.

When a man allegedly approached a group of males on West Idaho Street offering to sell them drugs, a fight reportedly broke out when the group tried to make the man leave. The reporting person admitted to brandishing a handgun when things got physical between one of his friends and the alleged drug dealer. Neither party ended up pressing charges.

Suspected drug activity was reported on East Idaho Street. Authorities determined it was a transient rolling his own tobacco cigarettes.

A 12-year-old entered the police department and reported being threatened by a group of males hanging out on First Avenue East.

Two gunshots were reportedly heard on 10th Avenue West.

A resident of Seventh Avenue East North complained of a “music box” on his neighbor’s property that was allegedly blaring music while the homeowner was gone.

An unsuspecting maintenance man on Bountiful Drive reported being assaulted by a woman who allegedly pulled up in her car, got out yelling at him and slapped him across the face.

A resident of Bull Lake Road claimed that someone entered her parents’ home where she was staying and took a prescription of hers, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman on Baker Avenue told Whitefish Police she found “two more human poops” in her yard and requested extra patrol.
