Slow wide load spurs road rage

A woman driving a wide load down U.S. 2 reported a man for pulling up beside her while she was pulled over to let traffic by and threatening to kill her. The man was allegedly angry about slow traffic and reached behind his seat stating he had a gun and a carry permit that “allowed him to do whatever he wanted.” The woman said she never actually saw the gun but felt concerned for her safety during the altercation.

Someone reported finding a dead horse with a yellow rope tied around its leg. The person told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office the horse was partially decomposed but believed it had been tied to a tree at one point because the same rope on the horse was also around the tree.

While riding his bike home from school, a mother said her second-grade son was chased by a knife-wielding fourth grader. The woman said she thought the boy was just trying to scare her son and decided the school should handle the incident because it happened on school property.

A woman said she managed to get a reckless driver to pull over on North Main Street so she could tell him he nearly ran her off the road. According to the woman, the man said he wished he had killed her and drove away.

A male black lab was found on Goat Trail.

Someone reportedly broke into a recreational vehicle that broke down on U.S. 93 South. The owner said the title to the vehicle was among the stolen items.

A concerned woman told authorities one of her neighbors volunteered to go investigate the source of an explosion they both heard but never returned. Authorities found the woman and returned her to her home.

A property manager reported several holes in the walls of an apartment on Grand Drive, which a construction team discovered while remodeling the property. The manager said the holes looked like someone had been shooting at the wall with a BB gun.

A woman claimed someone broke her car window to steal her purse.

A casino employee requested law enforcement to come in and “scare off” a man who was “acting strangely.” The employee said the man was dancing and singing to himself while playing on the machines.

A resident of Third Avenue South claimed she and her dog were threatened by a man who said he would shoot them both. The woman was unsure of why the threats were made.

Two horses reportedly escaped and were found on Three Mile Drive, according to a Kalispell Police report. Officers were unable to locate the horses upon arrival.

Suspected drug activity was reported on West Idaho Street.

More drugs were reported at Birchwood Center.

After a week out of town, a homeowner on West Arizona Street said she came home to find her front door wide open. Upon investigation, authorities found no one inside the home and nothing missing.

Someone reported seeing a bear on Colorado Avenue, according to Whitefish Police.
