Vehicle vandals have a busy weekend

Whitefish Police are investigating reports of three vehicles that were vandalized on Park Avenue.

An employee of a Central Avenue business allegedly witnessed a man throw a brick through a car window in a nearby parking lot.

A woman called police about a group of kids skateboarding on Colorado Avenue. The woman said she asked the group to leave because she was worried they would damage her car, at which point they “got mouthy with her.” Officers were unable to locate the group.

Police were called about a man who had been removed from a Central Avenue business because he was allegedly “trying to fight everyone.”

Officers picked up a lost black lab that had wandered into an East Third Street store. Officers were able to reunite the pooch with its owner.

The Columbia Falls Police Department got a call from an employee of a Sixth Street West business after a patron allegedly did not return a bathroom key. Officers found the key had been locked inside the bathroom.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn on East Lakeshore Drive.

The Somers-Lakeside Fire Department responded to reports of a grass fire on Lower Valley Road.
