FVCC opens student art show

FVCC’s Art Club will hold its annual Holiday Art Sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 4-6 in the Arts and Technology building on campus. (Courtesy photo)

The Flathead Valley Community College’s Art Department will host an art show opening reception and awards ceremony at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, featuring pieces made by students. Free and open to the public, the opening will be in the gallery on the lower level of the Arts and Technology building on the Kalispell campus. Light refreshments will be served.

The show will be juried by artist and teacher Sara Nelson from Flathead High School. Awards will be given to students for exceptional 2-D and 3-D works. The show will remain on display until Dec. 15.

FVCC’s Art Club will hold its annual Holiday Art Sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 4-6 in the second-floor lobby of the Arts and Technology building. A variety of mediums will be available for purchase, including ceramics, jewelry and more. Proceeds from the sale benefit the activities of the club and support the artists.
