Joyce E. Pyles, 84

Joyce E. Pyles, 84, of Kalispell, passed away Sept. 19 2017, after contracting pneumonia.

Joyce was born on Aug. 21, 1933, in Noonan, North Dakota, to Harold and Beatrice (Sackett) McNeil. The family eventually moved to Kalispell.

After graduating Flathead County High School, she attended college for a short time in California, then returned to the Flathead Valley. Here she met and married Bill Henderson and they had a child, Larry Henderson. Later, after Bill’s death in a rodeo accident, she met and married Bruce Pyles. The two of them had four children, Laurie, Rusty, Carole and Marie. The family moved to Union, Oregon, in the summer of 1972.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, and sons Larry and Rusty.

In 2004 she returned to Montana, where she lived until her death.

Joyce is survived by her siblings, Keith McNeil, Carol Williams and Donna McNeil; daughters, Laurie, Carole and Marie; grandchildren, Mandy, Aimee, Russell, Andrea, Brian and Steven; and great-grandchildren, Colter, Brie, Hannah, Paige, Anika, Lexi and Lily.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 14 in the gym at Central Bible Church, located at 902 1st Ave. E., Kalispell.
