Bigfork man charged with sexual assault on a minor

A registered sex offender was arrested in Lake County Thursday for three counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age.

Scott Curry, 49, of Bigfork, was arrested by Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies following allegations of sexual assault.

The Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the alleged misconduct reported on Oct. 15, which led to Curry’s arrest.

Curry is on the Montana Sexual and Violent Offender Registry. According to registry, Curry was found guilty of two counts or oral copulation with a child in California in 1994.

Curry is currently being held at the Lake County Detention Center.
