Museum to screen 'Timberjack'

The Miracle of America Museum will show the historic movie “Timberjack” on its free “Night at the Museum” program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26.

“Timberjack,” a feature-length Trucolor movie filmed in 1955 in Glacier National Park, also includes a portion of the film shot in Polson.

Set in Montana in the late 1880s, two logging operators compete for survival. Directed by Joseph Kane, it stars Sterling Hayden, Vera Ralston, David Brian and Adolphe Menjou. Hoagy Carmichael and Chill Wills make character appearances.

The “Night at the Museum” events are free and open to the public.
