Piglet custody divides pet owners

A woman called the Kalispell Police Department because her ex-boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend had apparently stolen his guinea pigs. The pigs reportedly gave birth to piglets and the pig thief refused to give them back. For some reason, the woman also complained that her car had been keyed two years before and the police “didn’t do anything about it.” The dispatcher ended up hanging up on the caller because he couldn’t get a word in edge-wise.

A dog park user reported an aggressive husky-type dog at a dog park. The officer who investigated did not find any dogs matching the description, but did find a stray black Lab.

A young man was seen with a black suitcase-type bag on the north side of the library. He took off running when the Kalispell Fire Department’s sirens went off while they were responding to a call.

A social media user told the police she thought she found a post online about her father’s backpack that had been stolen in 2018. The police explained it might take a little while for them to respond to the suspicious post since they were very busy.

A woman told the police she had gotten a call from a man who was very upset about a service dog allegedly “pooping” in a retail store. He felt the dog and its owner were following him around Kalispell and he claimed he was going to kill the dog if he saw it again.

A teenage boy reportedly “mooned” a man’s house. The homeowner caught the incident on his camera and spoke to the boy’s father, but he told the police “nothing seems to have changed.”

Someone called the police because “some yahoos came around dragging a kid on a sleigh behind a vehicle.” The caller was worried the “yahoos” might get hurt.

A woman told the Whitefish Police Department she walked into a telephone line face-first multiple times. They told her the wire belongs to the telephone company. She said she wanted the line to be cut down and asked the police to note her complaint in the event that “she gets electrocuted.”

A homeowner reported a car that hit a deer in front of her house and asked the police to remove it. However, she refused to provide her name to the police.

An online shopper believed a package with $50 worth of women’s clothing was stolen from her porch. Then she called back to cancel the report when she found the package on her neighbor’s back porch and realized it had mostly likely been delivered there accidentally.
