Woman worried about revenge for dead dog

| December 29, 2019 4:00 AM

A woman told the Flathead Country Sheriff’s Office she was suspicious about a red convertible that drove down her road, turned around and parked in front of her house. Her neighbor caught two men walking on her property and saw a woman in the back of the convertible. The woman was worried the visitors were sent by her ex-boyfriend after she fell on his dog and killed it.

A man claimed his wife stole his vehicle, but she was apparently on the vehicle’s registration. The truck was apparently towed back to the residence with a flat tire or possibly multiple flat tires. The caller was given this update but he reportedly “didn’t like the information provided.”

A Columbia Falls woman was worried about a “vehicle driving slowly through the area” and making a lot of noise. She said she was concerned “due to the crime in the area and because she [could] hear it stop and then start up again.” She suspected the loud driver might be checking in people’s mailboxes.

A store employee complained that a driver did a “burn out” near the business and a tire kicked up a rock that broke a glass door.

A homeowner had concerns about two people that he saw out in front of his house. He said he had earlier heard tires screech and it sounded like “they were trying to get away in a hurry.” He thought the two suspicious subjects might be related to this vehicle, but it turned out they were two friends out for a walk.

A man who lives in a trailer was very upset because he found a syringe in the gas can that he uses to hold drinking water. He said he locks his trailer when he leaves but he “thinks someone has been getting in and moving things around.” He requested extra patrol in the area.

A visitor lost a fifteen-pound miniature schnauzer.

A man fell asleep in his vehicle and nearly drove his truck into a body of water while he was slumped over the wheel, according to someone observing him. He was told to “stop sleeping in parks and law enforcement will stop responding.”

An injured turkey was removed from U.S. Highway 93 near Whitefish.

Someone accidentally dialed 911 multiple times with his phone in his pocket while he was skiing.

Someone reported a woman in a “purplish blue” truck who was sitting in the driver’s seat with her head “bobbing around.”

A woman was concerned a man with ankle bracelet was at a bar when he shouldn’t be and he also had his thirteen-year-old relative with him.

A mother said her daughter, who was “trying to get off drugs,” had used her phone and now she is being constantly harassed by drug dealers. The mother said she wanted law enforcement to know about this “so they can get info to do another drug bust on these subjects.”
