Jack Ernest Staub, 70

Jack Ernest Staub passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 8, 2019.

He was born to Jacob and Freida Staub in Denver on Sept. 15, 1948.

Jack married Frances Cook on Dec. 28, 1981. They moved to Wisconsin where they spent 27 years.

Jack was a professor and plant geneticist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2008 he took on a position with the USDA in Logan, Utah. He always used to say that the “Mountains were calling and he had to come running.” Jack retired in 2017 and Frances and Jack moved to Kalispell to spend their retirement.

Jack leaves behind his wife Frances Staub, his daughter Kodie Staub, his sister Sonny Raasch, and many other family members who loved him deeply.

Jack will be forever remembered for his kindness, his hard work, his devotion to his family and his deep love for others. He had a strong belief and devotion to God and dedicated his life to becoming as close to him as possible. He truly was an incredible example to his daughter, his friends and family.

A funeral will be held for Jack at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in Bigfork. The address is 121 Crestview Drive, Bigfork MT 59911.

Another memorial service will be at a later date in Logan.
