Skijoring called off Saturday due to frigid weather

The skijoring event at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell was canceled Saturday due to frigid weather impacting the area.
According to event organizers, the decision was made because the extremely cold weather could have put the safety of horses, competitors and spectators at risk. Wind chill values as low as minus 10 were predicted for Saturday.
The Calcutta that was previously scheduled for Saturday at Rivals Bar also was canceled.
Organizers said skijoring at Rebecca Farm may continue Sunday, weather depending, although it was supposed to be even colder with wind chills of minus 30 in the forecast.
