Walking woman greeted with shovel

A man allegedly hit a woman in the head with a shovel while she was walking somewhere in Martin City, but said she didn’t need medical attention. She reportedly named a suspect to Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and claimed he had warrants.

Two men, one of them supposedly drunk, were reportedly yelling at each other on Montana 35 in Kalispell. The person calling in the report claimed the one man was “always drunk” and that other tenants were attempting to deescalate the situation.

A man reportedly was bit in the knee by a dog on a retractable leash lunging at him while the man was getting into his vehicle on Woodland Park Drive in Kalispell. He purportedly told the woman walking the dog that she needed to get a muzzle for the dog, which supposedly angered her. He claimed she kicked his vehicle and broke off a piece of his bumper that officers learned had previously been damaged in an accident. The woman was not located.

“Gonna mess you up old man,” was the message “illegal hunters” on a Marion property told a man who allegedly threatened to kill them. The man called officers to report the incident from Hubbart Dam Road and reportedly wanted the men cited for trespassing if located.

A woman on Grand Drive in Bigfork reportedly had an overnight bag stolen out of her vehicle and requested extra patrol. The woman claimed there were several people “camping out” in the parking lot of the apartment complex and was certain they were the ones stealing from vehicles.

A man allegedly went into a store on Stoner Loop in Lakeside and threatened to burn a cashier’s house down. The employee claimed he didn’t know the man or where he may have gone.

A Buffalo Trail resident in Somers told deputies several vehicles had been sliding off the road, which reportedly was covered in a “sheet of ice” and requested the road department sand the area.

A Marion resident claimed her intoxicated son was more upset than usual and was throwing items, knocking on windows and banging on a door. She warned deputies he had a history of being aggressive with law enforcement. He was not at the scene when officers arrived and she was told to call back if she needed help.
