| October 2, 2019 4:00 AM

In the presence of her loving family, Cedarburg, Wisconsin, resident Amy Lynn Piunti entered into eternal life on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, at the age of 43.

Amy was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, on April 20, 1976, the daughter of Jim and Nancy (Nee Williams) Gordley. After graduating from Whitefish High School, Amy attended Carroll College of Helena where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance. She was united in marriage with Jason Piunti on Sept. 6, 2003, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Whitefish.

Amy is survived by her loving husband, Jason; precious children, Maxwell James, Giuliana Lynn, and Marcus Salvatore; mother, Nancy Gordley, of Whitefish; sister, Megan Gordley, of Appleton, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Kristi Porcelli, of Chicago; nephew, Dominic Porcelli, of Chicago; mother-in-law, Darnell Piunti, of Chicago Heights, Illinois, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Jim Gordley, and father-in-law Sam Piunti.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, located at 1167 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg, WI 53012. There will be a prayer vigil that evening at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 18, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church-North, located at 1375 Covered Bridge Road in Cedarburg.

Amy’s true passion was her children, and she was very involved in their schooling. She loved attending and volunteering at their sporting events and activities. Traveling as a family was very special to Amy, and she especially loved experiencing Disney World and Hawaii with her kids. Each summer she looked forward to a trip back to Montana to go boating, hiking, and exploring Glacier National Park. She held a special place in her heart for her girlfriends and truly enjoyed her time with them. Her courage was her crown and she wore it like a queen.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charitable fund that has been created in Amy’s name to support local family-centered charities, thereby keeping her generous spirit alive. Checks can be made payable to Schwab Charitable with “Amy L. Piunti Charitable Fund” included on the memo line.

Over the past two years, since Amy’s original diagnosis, Amy, Jason and their family have been overwhelmed by the support, love, prayers and generosity of the St. Francis Borgia Church and School, Cedarburg community, PolyOne, and friends and family. The unconditional love, support and selflessness of so many has been a blessing to the Piunti family during a very challenging time and has had an incredibly positive impact on their family.

As was Amy’s hope, the Amy L. Piunti Charitable Fund was created with the goal of carrying on the generosity extended to her family in their time of great need. Because of Amy’s great love of family, it is Amy and Jason’s wish that the Amy L. Piunti Charitable Fund continues to support local family-centered charities for years to come.

Thank you for all the love and support, Jason, Max, Giuliana and Marcus.
