Roommate rumble ends in spilled blood

Roommates got into a rumble and there was reportedly a lot of blood after a man fell into a door and cut his ear. People involved in the fight were allegedly uncooperative when it came to telling Kalispell Police Department what happened.

A “very drunk” man with a bottle in his hand was allegedly walking in and out of the roadway on East Montana Street and was running toward a supermarket. A Taser was deployed and medical personnel were requested to meet officers at the police department booking area.

A woman trying to do her laundry was allegedly harassed by a woman downstairs who turned the washer and dryer off and yelled at her.

Someone calling from Capistrano Drive in Kalispell claimed “all the mailboxes have been opened and gone through and there was no mail left.” They told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office this was not the first time.

Someone calling from Lone Pine Road in Kalispell said a man dressed in camo was carrying a rifle and purportedly had it pointed at something and looked like he was stalking an animal. Fish and Game made contact with the man who just got home from being deployed and his mother was taking pictures of him in his uniform.

Someone calling from Cedar Drive in Kalispell was concerned a location was purportedly overrun with cats and a woman was giving the kittens away before they were old enough to be separated from their mother. The caller allegedly picked up two sick kittens and one died during the night while the other was euthanized. Officers left a note on the cat lady’s door and observed one thin, but healthy cat.

A Flathead Drive resident in Kalispell was suspicious of a minivan that had allegedly been parked nearby for a month and had trash all around it. He thought there was “a lot of suspicious activity going on around the van,” claiming people were going in and out of it and constantly moving around the area. He reportedly thought “strange people were living in the van and supposedly saw a 10 to 12-year-old girl hanging around them and a man with a tourniquet on his arm who looked like he was doing heroin.

An elderly man reportedly cut a younger man off on the road and then followed him to a coffee shop. The younger man allegedly grabbed the older man and was shaking and threatening him before leaving and heading east on Montana 35 in Kalispell.

Whitefish Police Department received two calls from Dakota Avenue and Ninth Street regarding bears. One caller said a “very large” bear was going through a neighbor’s trash. The other said a black bear was in their yard and then wandered into the trees.

Someone alleged a white truck was speeding up Colorado Avenue and “almost hit children and pedestrians in the area.” Officers called the registered owner of the vehicle who claimed he was driving at the speed limit when a bicyclist reportedly swerved in front of him and began yelling and screaming so he yelled back before going around her “as she was still in the middle of the road.”
