Girl goes missing, but only for 5 minutes

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department because he thought a 6-year-old girl was missing, but within 5 minutes she had returned with her mother.

A man asked for a police escort when he went to retrieve the belongings a woman had set outside for him. He warned the interaction “might get loud.”

After selling a laptop on a social media site, a woman worried the money she had been paid was counterfeit.

A parent called the police to ask “an officer to speak to her…son about being nice to animals.”

A female driver called the police to report she had “watched people run the stop sign” at an intersection.

A woman accidentally called the police for the third time. She was apparently “embarrassed” about the accidental dial and told the police she was “leaving shortly for church.”

An intoxicated woman was seen wandering around a parking lot “tapping on windows.” She then got into a vehicle and left the parking lot, although it was unclear whether she was driving the vehicle.

An amateur filmmaker called the police to see if he needed permission to “do some filming” at a park in the city.

A man thought it was “strange” a vehicle was parked in his normal parking spot in an alley. He said “the vehicle isn’t bothering anything,” but he also noted it was unlocked and asked for advice about what to do about the suspicious vehicle.

A man and woman stole a suitcase.

A property owner reported people who had been hired to replace the carpet in a building unit because they had apparently overstayed their welcome by two hours. He reported they were playing loud music and “possibly having a party.” The caller asked law enforcement to “remove them and close and lock the door,” but when an officer responded there was no one there and “no music” playing.

A woman reported the tires on the passenger side of her car were slashed.

A man stole a bike and then returned to the scene of the crime the following day.

A woman called the police to report a car had passed her while they were both driving. She elaborated the suspicious driver “pulled up next to her with his windows rolled down” and allegedly stared at her.

Someone found “a leather case full of meth” in front of a hotel and delivered it to the police.
