James Clay Miller, 30

James Clay Miller, 30, passed away on July 23, 2020, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.

James was born on April 28, 1990, in Whitefish. He was raised in Montana and graduated from Flathead High School.

He later went on to marry his wife Tessa Burns and fathered two beautiful children, a son named Wyatt Clay Miller and daughter Octavia Miller.

James served our country as an infantry soldier in the U.S. Army. James also worked in health care.

James enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. When he wasn’t outdoors he enjoyed video games, electronics, music and his guitar, drawing and, most of all, spending time with his dog, his family and his friends.

James was preceded in death by James “Jim” Wilson.

James is survived by his father Barry Miller, (stepmother) Karla Miller, his mother Susan Gallagher and (stepfather) Jason Gallagher; his wife, Tessa (Burns) Miller; and two children, Wyatt Clay and Octavia Miller; brothers, Matthew Harris, Mike Harris, Mark Harris and Marshal Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Kaylee and Greg Brennan; and three nephews; his grandparents, William and Louise Porteous, Helen and Louis Brundage, Bob and Shirley Miller, Connie Wilson, Linda and Randy Gallagher; aunts and uncles, Brian and Donna Miller, Brad and Teresa Miller, Bill and Debra Porteous, Rodney and Glenda Munson; and cousins, Janna and Trevor McCormick, Jodie Miller, Sheena Miller, Tabitha and Jordan Venezio, Erica and Nick Friske, Suzy and Jerald White and Brad and Samantha Porteous.

Services will be held at a later date.
