| August 12, 2020 1:00 AM

Betty Olsen Blair was a force to be reckoned with but COVID-19 proved stronger than she. Her battle with the virus was lost on Aug. 3, 2020, the day after her 86th birthday, at Pine Meadows nursing home in Lexington, Kentucky, where she had been a resident since 2018.

Betty was born Aug. 2, 1934.

Betty lived in Kalispell from 1963 to 1975 and had worked for JCPenney.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda, but left behind her daughters Brenda Bowman (Ben) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chandra Galik (John) of Lexington and Paula Wilburn (Don) of Palm Coast, Florida, nine beloved grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, one sister Peggy Johnson of Wenatchee, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as beloved friends.

Her family will miss her greatly but rejoice that she is free of the pain and sadness of this world.

No services are planned due to the restrictions of the current pandemic.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donated to Ashland Terrace Retirement Home 475 N. Ashland Ave. Lexington, KY 40502; and Fun Coast Down Syndrome Association, 3601 E. Moody Blvd. Bunnell, FL 32110-3601.
