Over the counter Montana hunting licenses and wolf licenses are now on sale.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has reduced the cost of wolf licenses.

For resident hunters or trappers with a Sportsmans or Combination license, the first wolf license costs $10. For hunters or trappers who wish to buy additional licenses, the cost is $12. Hunters and trappers may buy up to five licenses and harvest five wolves.

For those who do not have a Sportsmans or Combination license, each wolf license is $12.

Wolf tags previously cost $19 each.

For more information, visit fwp.mt.gov.

Those attempting to buy licenses are advised to make sure they select the correct over the counter license from the drop-down menu. All license sales are final unless session voided within the 8-hour time period.

Check the regulations where you hunt to see what your over the counter options are.
