Intoxication leads to fight in Bigfork

A man was reportedly “sucker punched” and kicked in the face on Electric Avenue in Bigfork. Someone told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office the semi-conscious man was lying on the sidewalk and spitting up blood. All parties and bystanders involved in the fight were said to be heavily intoxicated and gave different descriptions of the suspect’s vehicle and direction of travel. The victim declined an ambulance and received a ride home.

Someone called officers to request they check on the welfare of a person allegedly found sleeping behind a garbage can on Batavia Lane in Kalispell. The caller gave them a blanket and they reportedly asked for drugs.

A drunk man reportedly pulled up behind someone’s trailer on U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls and was walking around drinking alcohol. The person told the intoxicated man he must be at the wrong location, so he moved onto the neighbor’s lot and then tried to get into a trailer that probably wasn’t his. A friend arrived to give the drunk man a ride.

A welfare check was requested for a possibly homeless person who was seen sitting on Kienas Road in Kalispell rocking back and forth, talking to themself, looking in a mirror, flailing their arms around and taking off their shirt. Another call came in about the same person, who reportedly opened someone’s back gate and walked into their yard, asking about a cave. The person was given a ride into town.

A “huge argument” supposedly unfolded on Little Creek Lane in Whitefish where a tenant was allegedly trying to take a trailer, so the homeowner blocked them in and asked deputies to search a vehicle for stolen items. Parties were separated and counseled about what turned out to be a civil matter.

Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a report of bullet holes in an employee’s vehicle and the back of a business on Nucleus Avenue.

A gym owner wanted advice from police after a woman allegedly caught a man filming her. The owner reportedly terminated the man’s membership.
