Road wasn’t built as a drag strip

Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and reported cars were using Three Mile Road as a racetrack.

A woman who rises early to go to work wanted her neighbor’s howling dogs to knock it off so she can get some sleep.

A caller found two young German shepherds near the parking lot of the Wild Bill Trail. They had no collars or identification and were taken to the county animal shelter.

A veterinarian found a female Yorkshire terrier with a pink collar. It has also taken up residency at the animal shelter.

A mother reported her kids found several needles and a white substance in a small gravel pullout. She said she’s seen suspicious vehicles in the area. An officer picked up the needles and told her to call police when needles are found and if she sees any odd vehicles parking nearby.

A woman said she thinks her 16-year-old stepdaughter is being used for pornographic images. She said the mother has an X-rated website and she sells T-shirts and other clothing on the website.

A man and his 13-year-old son were mountain biking on Big Mountain when they became separated. The son called his dad to report he had a flat tire near the Jesus statue. The man later found his son at the lodge.

One 911 call was an accidental push of the “button” while another occurred when someone leaned against the counter.

A porch fire caused some temporary distress for a grandmother and her granddaughter, but it was extinguished before firefighters responded.

Someone reported being the victim of a fraud after sending $1,000 to a person in Oregon who didn’t exist.

A man prevented an act of littering on Desert Mountain when he witnessed people in two trucks with Washington plates dump a bunch of tires off the side of the hill. A U.S. Forest Service ranger responded, wrote citations and made sure the offenders cleaned up the mess.

A woman dining in Bigfork was unsure why her phone made an emergency call.

Two kayakers were boating on Hungry Horse Reservoir when the man’s wife went missing. The man and his friend went to look for her after the friend alerted authorities. A deputy and a helicopter were dispatched and the woman and her husband were found safe.

A passerby reported seeing a deer with its head stuck in a metal tomato cage. The deer didn’t seem to be in distress because it was eating grass. Fish and Game was called.

Two Bear Air was called to help rescue a teenager who went over a waterfall and got stuck in some rocks.

Nearly a dozen cows got out of the fence and were headed north toward U.S. 2, but “Bill” got there in time to take care of the animals.

A man traveled to Polson, but on his return he found $600 worth of rock had been stolen from a pallet in his front yard.

A boat in the bay with rap music playing too loud was reported. The caller said he knew there was a noise ordinance on the lake and he wanted a deputy to come out and yell at them to turn it down.

A caller said a pack of smokes was the reason behind an argument between a woman and a shirtless man with tattoos on his back.
