Co-eds embroiled in kitchen kerfuffle

A co-ed group of residents on Third Avenue West in Columbia Falls apparently got into a scuffle in the kitchen, and everyone ended up punching each other on the floor, according to a call to the Columbia Falls Police Department. One person apparently yelled his apologies and then took off running because there was a warrant out for him. Then another person, who was underage, dumped a bunch of beers down the sink. The caller was advised to contact the property manager of the apartment.

A grandfather allegedly stole the title to a vehicle from his granddaughter.

A self-styled legal expert told the police she didn’t believe people were allowed to be in a certain area after dark. She said she was worried the people in the location would stay there overnight. Officers asked them to move along.

An intoxicated man was denied service at a Columbia Falls bar, but he refused to leave. He eventually went outside, only to sit and stare into the bar’s window. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

A vehicle with broken headlights drove from Columbia Falls to Whitefish with its hazard lights on.

An apartment dweller insisted someone was breaking into his residence and stealing from him, but a Columbia Falls Police officer went through the apartment with the property manager and reported, “nothing appeared to be missing and the place was clean and organized.”

After a 911 hang-up, a dispatcher called the number back and a woman swore at the dispatcher for calling her. The dispatcher never found out the cause of the original call. He reported it was “unknown what she wanted.”
