Some out-of-state family members told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office a car had been left unlocked for them in Kalispell. However, they accidentally got into a different unlocked car, and then one of the visitors left his backpack in the wrong car and couldn’t open it again to retrieve the backpack. Then, the real owners of the mistaken vehicle showed up and said they couldn’t get into the vehicle, either. The car ended up getting towed.

Three separate dogs were spotted running loose and reported to the Sheriff’s Office.

A man said he was having issues with his homeowners association, and he wanted to let law enforcement know he was going to cut the lock off a gate to access his property. He promised he would buy a new lock and put it back on when he left.

Someone said their neighbor hired a trimming company and the contractor was trimming the caller’s apple trees.

A vehicle using only running lights rammed a gate at a North Kalispell property and drove away, without breaking through the gate. The driver turned out to be a transient who had been given permission to sleep in the parking lot.

Someone in Hungry Horse said a neighbor was “yelling all night.” Officers contacted the noisy neighbors, and they said they “were being a bit loud, but [there was] no reason for law enforcement involvement.”

A property owner was worried after he hadn’t seen one of his tenants who has mental health issues, for several days. Law enforcement checked her room, but there was no one inside.
