Lady Lions trounce Trojans; Polson boys edge Whitefish

TROY — The Eureka Lady Lions improved to 9-1 overall by routing the Troy Trojans 60-7 in Western 7-B play at Troy High School on Friday.
Troy was held to five points. Talise Becquart scored all five.
Karlee Frost scored 12 points for the Lions. Maggie Graves and Katie Schmidt each had nine and Michael Shea scored eight.

Missoula Hellgate 61, Glacier 37
MISSOULA — Despite a 17-point performance by Aubrie Rademacher, the Glacier Wolfpack couldn’t overtake Missoula Hellgate in their Western AA match.
Trailing by just 10 at the half, Glacier came out flat in the third quarter, managing only six points.
Emma Anderson added five points for the Pack. Kaylee Fritz and Ellie Keller each scored four.
Glacier hosts Butte today at 2:30 p.m.

WHITEFISH — Led by Gracey Smyley’s 17 points, the Whitefish Bulldogs beat the Polson Pirates in Northwestern A play.
Jadi Walburn added 11 points for the Bulldogs, who held a 16-12 lead at the half.
Whitefish pulled away from Polson in the second half, outscoring the Pirates 23-10.
Mossy Kauley led Polson with 11 points.
Polson heads to Libby for a 5:30 p.m. game today. Whitefish has a 5:30 p.m. game at Browning.

WHITEFISH — Polson’s Ryker Wenderoth scored 21 points as the Pirated edged the Whitefish Bulldogs in Northwestern A play.
Sam Menicke was Whitefish’s high scorer with 18 points.
Polson led 28-18 at the half and Whitefish surged, outscoring the Pirates 34-25 in the second half but couldn’t fully erase the deficit.
The Bulldogs are 3-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Polson plays Libby at 4 p.m. today.
Whitefish has a 4 p.m. game at Browning.
