Glacier student named Miss Teen Rodeo
Cody Carson of Kalispell was named Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2020 in the Miss Rodeo Montana Inc. pageant, held at the Heritage Inn in Great Falls on Jan. 11.
Carson, 15, is the daughter of John Burrows and Janine Rubinfier of Kalispell. She is a sophomore at Glacier High School with a 4.0 grade point average. She won in the categories of Appearance, Personality, and Poise & Presentation.
Katie Lynn Kraus, the 24-year-old daughter of Ted and Carrie Kraus of Livingston, was named Miss Rodeo Montana 2020. She is a Montana State University graduate who works as a veterinarian technician at All West Veterinary Hospital in Bozeman. Kraus achieved the highest
score on the written test.
Contestants were judged on their skills in public speaking, horsemanship, modeling, personal interview, and a horsemanship/rodeo knowledge test
Carson and Kraus will have opportunities to travel throughout Montana and represent the state in appearances as far away as Florida, or possibly even Japan. In December 2020, Kraus will represent Montana and compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America 2021.
