| July 11, 2020 8:59 PM

Bruce Roy Santomier, 71, passed away on June 28, 2020.

Bruce lived a full and colorful life. He appreciated a good drink and a fine cigar. He was an avid sports fan and loved all sports, especially ice hockey and football, which he played in high school and college.

He served his country as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam War. He was regional sales manager for Sharp Electronics at the Dallas World Trade Center. He became a frequent flyer and traveled internationally to conferences and trade shows.

Bruce had a great sense of humor and loved to relate stories about the well-known and sometimes infamous celebrities he met. One of the moments he most enjoyed was meeting the King of the Blues, B.B. King. Bruce had an extensive collection of blues recordings and enjoyed listening to them. Bruce was a friend of “Mr. Sam” and his picture is on the wall of Walmart headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, as salesman of the year for several years in a row.

Bruce was also an organ donor and two people who were blind can now see. Although he faced pain and many health issues in his final days, he remained a loving husband and wanted to be sure his wife was cared for. Bruce will be sorely missed.
