Lakers blow out Bandits, sweep double header

Kostya Hoffman and Reid Barrows combined to throw a shutout against the Belgrade Bandits on Thursday as the Kalispell Lakers AA won 10-0 on Thursday in the second game of a double header.
Hoffman allowed one hit and no runs through four innings and struck out two batters.
The Lakers scored six runs in the fourth inning. Danny Kernan singled, Ben Corriveau scored on a fielder’s choice, Connor Drish doubled and an error on a ball put in play helped Barrows score in the big inning.
Ben Corriveau, Jack Corriveau, Caden Willis, Joel Schlegel, Kernan, and Drish each had one hit at the plate.
Wyatt Lambeth took the loss for Belgrade Bandits. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and nine runs and no strikeouts.
In the first game, the Lakers scored six runs in the sixth innings to beat the Bandits 12-2.
Hayden Vaugn, Drish, and Barrows each drove home runs in the sixth.
The Lakers also scored five runs in the fifth.
Jack Corriveau was the winning pitcher, allowing two hits, two runs and three strikeouts through two innings.
Kernan started the game for the Lakers, lasting four innings. He allowed two hits and no runs.
Ben Corriveau, Vaugn, and Drish all notched multiple hits for the Lakers.
