Woman’s Antifa fears unfounded
A woman told the Whitefish Police Department she believed a black male dressed in black clothes on Baker Avenue was a “part of Antifa.” She asked law enforcement to “see what he’s doing in the area” and they drove by and determined he was “standing out front minding his own business” and there was “nothing suspicious” about his activity.
Dog owners apparently went for a hike and left their dog in a truck. The dog proceeded to bark and get stuck in the truck window when it tried to climb out. However, it turned out the dog was not in immediate distress so officers didn’t go to the scene.
A man on a bike apparently was saying some concerning things, including profanities and suicidal expressions. He seemed to have a broken knee and acted out of control, so a driver tried to detain him. The biker apparently cycled away with a “little backpack.”
A woman tried to use a fraudulent check in Whitefish shortly after using one in Kalispell. Someone at the Whitefish business “realized something was not right” and then the woman “grabbed up the check” and “bolted.”
A man apparently asked for a welfare check on a man riding a bicycle, and then he was “concerned he never got a call about it” even though he hadn’t asked for a call back.
Someone called the WFPD to report a group of protestors who were “almost stepping into traffic” and “blocking people from getting across the sidewalk safely.” However, police determined “traffic is moving freely and they are allowing movement safely on the sidewalk.”
A female driver of a large SUV was “advised to park better.”
The maintenance manager at a location in Whitefish thought a male driver with a shaved head was “being weird,” but the caller was apparently “having a difficult time explaining” the weird behavior. The caller thought the odd man might be watching children across the street from the location, but he drove away.
A bald, bearded man reportedly pushed over a stop sign and “flipped off drivers” on Wisconsin Avenue in Whitefish.
A woman called to report a “future emergency.” She said a man assaulted her and she kicked him out, and then she was worried he would kill someone with his reckless driving. She reported he drinks and takes pills before riding a motorcycle, and he “has already been to prison for killing his passenger while drunk driving.”
A bicyclist was apparently feeling dizzy after he hit a garbage can on Baker Avenue in Whitefish.
