Alien invasion suspected in Bigfork

A Bigfork woman told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office she believed someone was “circling around her backyard” with a flashlight all night long. She said law enforcement had also been visiting the area throughout the night. She thought the white light she could see shining in her backyard “might be an alien.”

Someone apparently poured baking soda and “some kind of liquid all over” a woman’s vehicle, and this wasn’t the first time her car had been vandalized.

A man told a Forest Service ranger his car was “burned to the ground” and he was pepper-sprayed. Since this occurred in Forest Service jurisdiction, the Sheriff’s Office decided to leave the incident up to the federal agency to handle.

A Missoula woman found out an Ashley Lake rental property was a scam after she paid more than $500 to rent the fraudulent listing.

A parent was concerned about his son’s mental health and his tendency to go “driving around.”

A Marion woman was worried about her parents after her father, a pilot, hadn’t checked in following a flight to the Spokane area. Then the woman received a text from her father saying he was fine.

A woman complained that her neighbor’s dogs, chickens and ducks keep coming into her yard.

An employee at a muffler shop called because he saw two men in a ditch near the train tracks and he thought they “appeared to be hiding.” They were warned to stay off the tracks and the caller’s property.

A Hungry Horse man called regarding a supposed “slander conspiracy” against him. He believed multiple people were falsely calling Child Protective Services on him, as well as digging a tunnel under his house and poisoning him. The Sheriff’s Office found a record of the caller experiencing delusional thoughts.

A trailer park resident was upset about a neighbor’s dog continually barking, but an officer who checked the area said they didn’t see any dogs at the residence and didn’t hear any dogs barking.

A woman said she had ongoing issues with her neighbor, who nearly ran over her dog and pointed a pistol at her husband when he asked her to slow down.

A homeowner wanted extra patrol because he said drivers in the area were not obeying the speed limit and there was very poor visibility due to dust.

A man left a gun on top of his truck and then realized it had either been lost or stolen.

A man called after he asked a fisherman for his name and the fisherman told him to “go to hell.”
