Kalispell issues advisory on tree downfall
The Kalispell Parks and Recreation and Public Works departments have issued an advisory in regard to the tree downfall from the May 31 windstorm, noting it is the property owner’s responsibility to clean up and dispose of tree debris generated from private trees.
The city is not be able to support cleanup, removal or disposal efforts for private property trees, according to an advisory from the city of Kalispell. Please do not place tree limbs or branches from private trees in the city boulevards, alleys or the solid waste containers.
The Flathead County Landfill is accepting tree debris and the city encourages residents to collect and dispose of their tree debris at the landfill.
City crews are working to address the tree debris from the boulevard trees. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 758-7718 for any questions on the removal and disposal responsibilities.
