Laurence Jason Mack, 70

Laurence Jason Mack, 70, of Kalispell, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2020, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.

Laurence was born to William and Miriam (Fredenberg) Mack on July 23, 1949. He married Jeanette Kelsey in 1973 and together they had three children. He had been married to Marcy Van Alstine since August 1998.

He was drafted into the Army and served in the Vietnam War as an MP. He worked at Plum Creek Fiber Board for many years and then through the Electrical Union. He could no longer work due to his physical disabilities.

Laurence enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting cars, guns and knives, but his favorite thing was family get-togethers where there was a lot of chaos and children laughing.

Laurence was preceded in death by his parents William and Miriam (Fredenberg) Mack, his brothers Billy and Ralph Mack, his niece Leah Jones, and numerous other family members.

Laurence is survived by his wife Marcy Mack; his daughter Jennifer (Curtis) Skelton; son John Mack and his girlfriend Amanda Dusek; daughter Jessica (Jason) Lesker; his grandchildren Devan, Kendra, Kylee, and Kierstyn Skelton, Trevor Mack, Xander, Ashton, and Grayson Lesker; and his great-grandson Owsley Flatt; his stepchildren, Derek Williams, Stacie (Bo) Alsup, and Megan (Dex) Hardy; and his stepgrandchildren, Mackenzie McClain, Kayla and Gabriel Williams, Andi Rae Alsup, Tucker Morgan and Dayton Hardy.

There will be a celebration of life with military honors and a potluck for Laurence at Birch Grove Community Center on June 20 at 1 p.m.
