Maxine ‘Mickey’ Heil, 62

| June 17, 2020 1:00 AM

Maxine “Mickey” Heil, 62, was taken tragically from her family Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Mickey was born July 16, 1957, to Max and Shirley Heil in Kalispell. She was the middle of their three children.

Mickey later went on to marry Paul Benson on Feb. 6, 1976. They had two kids, Amy and Ryan Benson. She later went on to have another son, Eric Heil.

Always a gypsy at heart, she found great joy in the outdoors — camping, wildflower picking, and hunting for the perfect heart rock to add to her collection.

Mickey was extremely artistic and filled with so much talent in everything she did. She enjoyed hunting for the perfect knick-knack to add to her miniature collection. She could turn anything into a work of art.

What she took the greatest pride in however, was her family. She was blessed to have six grandkids, and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Shirley Heil (Hummel), and her sister, Jill Marsh.

She is survived by her brother, Ron and Paula Heil, children, Amy Benson, Ryan Benson and Eric Heil; her grandchildren, Tailer Benson, Logan Benson, Colton Benson, Caleb Benson, Jaidee Johnston and Aryen Heil; great-granddaughters, Izelee Purdom and Rilynn Newberry; and her best friend, and soul sister, Sammy Nutter; along with all loving members of her family.

Services will be held at 1608 8th Ave. East, at 3 p.m. June 27. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

Friends are encouraged to visit the website www.buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolence for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
