Patricia Ann Beseler, 68

| May 3, 2020 1:00 AM

Patricia Ann Beseler, loving sister and aunt, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2020, at the age of 68.

Patty was born on July 5, 1951, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Betty Heyne and William Beseler. The oldest of five children, Patty took an important role in the household, helping to raise her younger brothers and sisters in the small farming town of Hazelton, North Dakota. In 1974, the family moved to Kalispell, where Patty lived for most of her life.

Patty had many interests, including cooking, antiquing and playing board games with her family. Patty also had a strong relationship with and played an important role within the AA community earlier in her life.

To know Patty was to love her. She was larger than life, with a rolling, infectious laugh and generous heart. Even when Patty didn’t have much, she was always thinking of others and giving whatever she had to give. She especially had a soft spot for animals and saved numerous animals throughout her life. My Aunt Patty had a profound effect on my life, and I will be eternally grateful for the relationship I was lucky enough to have with her.

Throughout her life, Patty had the spirit of a fighter, which especially held true in the last years of her life. Patty had many health issues, but always had an optimistic, positive attitude which served her well.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Heyne and William Beseler and her younger brother David Beseler.

Patty is survived by siblings Brenda Butler, Deborah Germain, Steven Beseler and his wife Linda Beseler; nephews Carson Butler, William Beseler and Robert Beseler; and niece, Lindsey Carter. She was a proud great aunt as well and is survived by Noah and Lily Carter, who also loved her very much.

She will be missed immensely by those who had the opportunity to know her. Rest in peace, Aunt Patty.

A small family gathering will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Flathead County Animal Shelter in Patty’s name.
