Pedestrian dies after being struck on Montana 40

A 22-year-old Great Falls man died Tuesday, Nov. 3, after being struck by a vehicle on Montana 40.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the man was either crossing or walking along Montana 40 at mile marker 2.2 at about 11:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, when he was struck by a Toyota Venza driven by a 30-year-old woman from Salem, Oregon.

The man was taken to North Valley Hospital, then to Kalispell Regional Medical Center where he died at 2:23 p.m., Tuesday.

Drugs, alcohol or speed were not suspected factors in the crash.

The identity of the man has not been announced.
