Earl Holst, 90

Earl Holst passed away Nov. 10, 2020.

Earl was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Westby, Montana, the youngest child of Peter and Nellie (Larsen) Holst. He was raised there until his second year of high school, when they moved to Kalispell where he graduated from Flathead in 1948. He graduated the University of Montana in 1953 with a degree in business administration.

He married Sandra Moore that year and they had two sons. They were later divorced.

He served his country in the Air Force and was honorably discharged as a first lieutenant.

In 1965 he married Judee Goodwin and they had 55 years together. His working life was spent at Anaconda/Arco as an accountant. After retiring he spent another 10 years at Montana Power.

He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1947 and served as a deacon and trustee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings. Survivors include Kevin (Sharon) Holst of Lewiston, Idaho, Kent (Donna) Holst of Papillion, Nebraska, and stepdaughter Laurie (Bob) Graber of Helena; lots of grandchildren, great- grands, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing at Johnson Gloschat Funeral Home Monday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., with family burial at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery Tuesday, Nov.17, at 2 p.m.
