Tracks in snow land juveniles in jail

Two juveniles were jailed after they allegedly stole several vehicles in the Batavia area before being abandoned.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, early Thursday morning, several vehicle thefts were reported. When deputies located boot prints in the snow, they tracked the suspects to a residence in the Batavia Lane area.

After detectives got a search warrant they spoke to two youths and recovered numerous pieces of property from multiple thefts from the previous night.

Both youths are suspected of being involved in numerous thefts in the Batavia area, dating back to as far as November 2019.

Both juveniles were arrested and transported to Missoula Juvenile Detention. This investigation is still open pending further leads and follow-up.
