Man gets deer steaks and a punch in the face

What began with a meal of deer steaks and drinking at a Grandview Terrace residence in Lakeside allegedly resulted in a heavily intoxicated group and physical disturbance. The incident reportedly involved pushing, a man locking the others outside and the ordeal came to blows when he was punched in the mouth by another man, which left a cut lip and possible missing tooth. The injured man reportedly refused medical attention and didn’t want to press charges. Instead, he wanted to be left alone until he moved out.

A drunk lady reportedly tried to barge into a cabin on U.S. 2 in Martin City. The startled cabin dwellers told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office they had no idea who the woman was, but she was beating on the door. She allegedly attempted to hide from deputies who saw her crouched by a building. Deputies turned her over to her sister, who was staying on the property.

A Columbia Falls woman allegedly called deputies and initially reported that three men cut a lock on her gate, stole a vehicle off her property and pulled a gun on her when she confronted them, but later recanted the story, which changed several times, concluding that “she simply did not wish” for a particular man to return to the property. The man told officers he had a vehicle at her house and had previously called about wanting to pick it up, however, used a different name because “he was on probation and didn’t want to get in trouble.”

A customer on U.S. 2 in Kalispell allegedly overheard a young woman, who was with an old man, beg for a shower and say, “Please don’t lay a hand on me, I’m sorry,” in addition to telling him she was tired of sleeping in a car. The pair reportedly said they were having a “little spat,” and would be heading down the road.

A garage was allegedly broken into on Hellman Lane in Columbia Falls, but nothing was damaged or stolen. Someone showed deputies surveillance footage of a man using a code for an electronic lock and going inside for 20 minutes, then left. They were offered additional solutions to better secure the door.

The boyfriend of a Kalispell woman was reportedly refusing to leave and had hit and kicked her the day before. The woman started crying and was unable to get into a locked room and then started arguing. He eventually agreed to leave for a while.

Extra patrol was requested on Alpine Court in Whitefish because a man driving a truck allegedly kept speeding through the neighborhood.

A welfare check was requested for kids reportedly seen hitchhiking on the side of a highway.

An unoccupied stolen white Hummer was found on Smith Lake in Kila and returned to the owner.

A mattress was creating a road hazard on Disposal Road in Kalispell.

A property owner on Trumble Creek Road in Columbia Falls flagged down a deputy, alleging he was having issues with trespassers who were vandalizing a “rock formation.”

A man was reportedly pushing a woman who went with her children into a bedroom and locked the door in Kalispell. The group heard what sounded like him packing up to leave. Parties were separated.
