Man forgets driving wife’s vehicle

| October 4, 2020 12:00 AM

A man called Kalispell Police Department to report his truck stolen, saying he left the keys in the ignition. It wasn’t long before he called back, however, to say the truck was not stolen — he just forgot he was driving his wife’s car.

A man was reportedly shot with an airsoft BB gun in Deport Park. There were six youths at the park, but he wasn’t certain who shot him. All parents were notified and the youths “were removed from the park for the day.”

Officers pursued a vehicle from East California Street to Flathead Drive where a man got out and started running down Nicholson Drive and then jumped off a bridge into the river. He was taken to the police department.

A woman’s neighbor was reportedly throwing things over her fence.

Meanwhile, someone else’s neighbor allegedly smashed flower pots on their porch with a rock.

A man’s girlfriend was reportedly hitting and attacking him in a store.

A group of people congregating in a parking lot were allegedly being rowdy because they were driving aggressively and revving car engines.

Kalispell Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Seventh Avenue East Friday night.

Crews dispatched to the scene at 7:33 p.m., saw moderate smoke and flames from a side window of the residence, according to a press release. No occupants were home at the time and no injuries were reported.

Fire and smoke damage were noted on the main floor of the home. Water damage was reported throughout the house.

The fire was deemed accidental following an investigation, caused by the “improper disposal of smoking materials,” the release stated.

Evergreen, Bigfork and Smith Valley fire departments also responded.
