Lakeside-Somers Chamber cancels banquet

The Lakeside-Somers Chamber of Commerce has made the decision to cancel this year’s Captain’s Banquet, which was set for this Thursday, Oct. 8, due to the increased number of cases of COVID-19 throughout Lakeside and Somers.

If you have purchased individual tickets, the Chamber will be working on giving refunds within the next 10 business days to your original payment.

If you were a sponsor, the Chamber will discuss with you options and opportunities.

Everyone is welcome to contact the Chamber directly with any concerns or questions regarding ticket refunds, sponsorship or donation.

Additionally, the Lakeside-Somers Chamber of Commerce learned that a member attending the monthly BASH, held Sept. 29, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, Oct. 4. There is no evidence that this person was positive during this event, but if anyone who attended is experiencing any symptoms, it is recommended you get tested and quarantine appropriately.
