The growing number of interactions between Montana’s grizzly bears and their human neighbors will be the subject of a report on “60 Minutes” tonight, Oct. 11.

Bill Whitaker reports on how the giant predators and their human neighbors are getting along in a story of conservation and conflict, including interviews with several Flathead Valley area residents.

Mission Valley farmer Greg Schock tells of how the bears trampled and ate large portions of his corn crop while Bryce Andrews, a rancher, author and field director for a nonprofit called People and Carnivores, speaks about his efforts to put up electric fences to protect crops and livestock from bears.

Viewers will hear from bear attack victims as well as the experts that deal with the animals on a daily basis.

The story can be seen by Flathead area residents on KPAX out of Missoula at approximately 6 p.m. tonight, following NFL football.
