Roommate will not leave without a fight

| October 26, 2020 12:00 AM

A belligerent and inebriated 40-year-old was allegedly not going to move out quietly. She reportedly assaulted her roommate and screamed profanities at her roommate’s mother, according to a call received by the Kalispell Police Department.

A woman, also described as belligerent, reportedly pushed past two store employees who tried to stop her from entering because she wasn’t wearing a mask, which is required through a state mandate. She claimed it was a violation of her civil rights to refuse service based on what she was wearing and was probably unfamiliar with the phrase, “No shoes, no shirt, no service.” Employees offered to shop for her, but she refused.

Someone purportedly couldn’t sleep because their upstairs neighbor was stomping around for an hour.

A man let a friend store items in his shed and the friend allegedly changed the combination of the lock on it and wouldn’t tell him what it was. The man wanted to know if he could cut the lock, claiming it was also his. Both parties were counseled.

A man with a shopping cart full of items was reportedly refusing to leave a store and was “being vulgar” with a manager who called officers. The man allegedly had two knives and scissors that were sitting on a table.

A man and his guest allegedly went into a bathroom with a black case and green bag where someone overheard them talking about drugs. The person asked the duo to come out and for one of the men to leave. At first they reportedly refused, but then came out where the one man left toward Center Street.

Multiple hotel guests at a location reportedly heard a gunshot and a woman and man arguing. Officers made contact with the woman who was allegedly sleeping in a van when her husband assaulted her and left. She reportedly denied a gun was involved in the incident and refused to fill out a statement. Officers planned to review video footage of the disturbance.

Dispatchers called back the phone number tied to an abandoned 911 call and got a woman on the phone who reportedly said her 3-year-old grandson made the call and there was no emergency. When dispatchers noted she was replying to their questions with short answers they asked if she was able to speak freely. She said she was, she was just tired from watching the toddler all day.
