One injured in Bigfork shootout

A shootout in Bigfork Sunday morning has not resulted in any arrests.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, at 11:03 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, deputies were called to the 500 block of Alpine Drive for a report of a person with gunshot wounds to the leg and shoulder.

Deputies arrived on scene along with Bigfork Ambulance. Initial information was gathered and deputies located the second party involved. Flathead County Sheriff’s Office detectives and a crime scene team responded to investigate the incident and interviews were conducted with witnesses.

The subject was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for his injuries. Initial information was both individuals involved fired rounds.

Details of the investigation are pending further investigation by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division. No arrests or charges have been made at this time.
