Hockaday Museum of Art offers fall art classes
The Hockaday Museum of Art’s fall classes begin Sept. 15.
Registration is required as there is a participant limit for each class session. Participants are asked to help create a safe place for creativity and imagination by following current health department regulations regarding the wearing of face coverings and social distancing. Masks for children age 5 and up are available at the museum. Complete COVID-19 precautions are noted at www.hockadaymuseum.org
All class materials are provided unless otherwise noted.
Registration forms are available at the museum or www.hockadaymuseum.org. You may call the museum at 755-5268 to pre-register, but a place in the class is guaranteed only upon receipt of payment in full. Members receive a 10% discount
on class fees.
Pre-School Art Adventures — Ages 2 to 5, accompanied by an adult guardian; Tuesdays 11:30 a.m. to noon. Because space is limited pre-registration is requested. Suggested $3 donation per child. Free with family membership.
Using paper, paint, markers, crayons and glue pre-school artists and their adult helpers share fun art projects that encourage creativity and develop basic art skills.
Home School Art Classes — Wednesdays, ages 6 to 11, 10:30 a.m. to noon; ages 12 to 16, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Each session focuses on a particular theme, artist or art medium and concentrates on the use of shapes in art — theme for the 2021 Children’s Art Exhibition. Projects include drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking for beginning and advanced level students.
