Keith O. Strohschein, 84

| September 11, 2020 12:00 AM

Keith O. Strohschein, a longtime resident of Kalispell, went home to be with our Lord on Aug. 30, 2020. We were blessed to have him for 84 years.

The beloved husband, father and grandfather was born in Clear Lake, South Dakota. He attended the School of Mines and went on to work in multiple body shops in Kalispell. He then worked as a millwright at Columbia Falls Aluminum Company until retirement in 1997.

He married Gail Nordstrom on July 2, 1955. Together they raised three children, Brian, Marty and Krystal.

They moved to Montana in 1964 and soon settled in a house they loved and filled with memories for over 50 years before moving to Florida in 2017.

When he wasn’t working, he was an avid outdoorsman. Between hunting, fishing and camping he spent most of his days somewhere in the woods. Their cabin on Echo Lake holds countless precious memories for family and friends. “Grandpa” was a very social person and loved to share a story to anyone he came across.

He is survived by his wife Gail, sister Marilyn, son Brian (Sue), daughter Krystal (Tom Birky), as well as grandchildren Travis, Sara, Niki, Brandi, Alyssa, Levi and Parker.

A memorial service will be held next spring in Montana.
